Summer Vacation

Our kids are on summer vacation from school. My husband said we can still count some activities, but it'll be light schooling for the month of June 2008. So in July 2008 we need to start school back up. About 5-7 more weeks for them. One kid only needs about 96 more hours and the other needs about 110 more hours. We avg 18 hrs per week.
In Wisconsin, homeschooling is counted by hours. Each kid that is 6 years old and homeschooled needs 875 hours of schooling. No starting early, though. We found that out last year when we took a field trip in July, but found out it wouldn't count. We had to wait til August 15, 2007 to call the homeschool hotline and order a homeschool form. Then we sent it in and had to wait til they received it before we could start counting the kids hours.
Good news for late starters, for the school year 2007-2008, students had up to October 15, 2007 to start.
