Budgeting for a Math Lesson
Our kids were blessed with a lot of money for Christmas. So we did some Math and Budgeting today, for school. First, I taught them what tithe meant and we went through many examples of tithe (10% of 1.00=$.10, 10% of $3.00=$.30, etc.). Then I had them write in a book they made, What they received, how much is tithe, how much is left over. Then they made two lists: Things they need (tights, etc.), Things they want (to go to the movies). Also, I had them write down how much it costs, if they knew, so they could budget more efficiently.
